1. CANADA - Pray for Mark Griffin, (Executive Director) as he seeks to promote the ministry of GRN Canada in churches.
2. CANADA - Marian Elliott, continues to need prayer for her hearing. She has regained some hearing in her right ear, but it varies greatly. Some days she is able to hear conversations while at other times she is not.
3. NEW INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR (ID) - Give thanks for Tim Strauss as he takes on the role of International Director. Pray for him as he gets to know GRN people around the world and becomes actively involved in our work by learning, understanding, leading and guiding.
4. KENYA - Winston Omenya, the former GRN director in Kenya suffered the death of his son, Daniel, recently. Please pray for Winston and his wife as they grieve the loss of their son. Winston is serving on the Kenya Board.
5. UNITED KINGDOM - Pray for Kenny and Joan as they serve in the office. Kenny has recorded many languages over the years and Joan has been a great help as they send out GRN materials to churches and ministries in other countries.
6. PARTNERSHIPS - Missions seldom talk about the good working relationships they have with other missions. Partnership is needed if the church is to accomplish the great commission. GRN is always looking for opportunities to advance the Gospel by working together with other like-minded churches and ministries. Pray that more partnerships may be established in the coming year.
7. CANADA - David Elliott continues to serve the mission as he takes care of the administrative needs. He would appreciate your prayers as he handles some of the more routine office responsibilities.
8. KENYA - The Kenyan team completed the 'Look, Listen, and Live' series in the Sengwar language last year. Pray for the team as they investigate languages that are in need of GRN recordings.
9. CANADA - Ruth Horan works diligently to find the details of every recording and make sure that the GRN records are up to date. This is an important part of making sure our audio materials are accessible on the 5fish app and the GRN website. Pray for her as she works through thousands of files and that she would catch any problem areas.
10. THAILAND - Pray for the GRN team as they take part in a conference today and tomorrow. Pray that many people will want to use GRN materials in their ministries and want to become partners in prayer and financially.
11. SOUTH AFRICA - Pray for Dalene, as she is working on Sunday school materials for Ukraine in partnership with GRN Europe.
12. CANADA - The following are Board members: Roy Grant; Christina Waters; Bill Pearson; Glenn Wilton; Kelly Miller and Keith Larson. There is a need for new board members to join the ministry. Pray that God will raise up individuals with a burden for missions and the particular ministry of GRN Canada.
13. INTERNATIONAL - Pray for Graydon Colville, as he moves away from International Director tasks and gives more time to his new role as Global Script Ministries Coordinator. Please pray for the script team as they focus on review of the script library, script adaptation, writing new scripts, and helping recording teams make good content and script choices.
14. FRENCH SPEAKING RECORDISTS - Pray about the growing need to have several French speaking recordists active in Francophone Africa to advance the recording work. Pray that the recruiting and training of several French-speaking recordists will happen in God's time.
15. GALCOM - The work of mission is too great for any one mission to accomplish. GRN is thankful for the partnership we have with Galcom, as they put GRN recordings on many of their players. Pray for Galcom, that they will receive many orders for their players in which GRN audio may be put on.
16. TOGO - Pray for GRN Togo who are active in recording and distribution but have had health problems. Pray that the recording will transform lives as people hear of their Saviour.
17. TUMI TIGER MINISTRY - Preliminary translations are under way in the languages of Hebrew, Palestinian Arabic, and Egyptian Arabic. Pray that these messages may comfort many children whose lives have been devastated by violence and war.
18. KENYA - Give thanks for Walter and James as they work to record the languages of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Pray for the tribe that recently received GRN evangelism kits (mp3 players and flipcharts) in Tanzania and for a distribution project being planned in Uganda.
19. GRN WEBSITE - The GRN website publishes lots of information about the ministry, current projects, news and more. It also gives access to all GRN's audio, video and written Gospel materials. Pray for Rob MacDonald, as he works to keep the site up to date.
20. THAILAND - Please pray for a mission team from the U.S., as they join a local Chiangmai foundation to install a water system in a Karen village from May 18-31 . Two GRN missionaries Dan and Boy will join the team to distribute 45 MP3 players with Gospel recordings for adults and children.
21. NEW RELEASE OF 5FISH APP - Please pray for a successful release of new major improvements to the 5fish app for Android™. Version 3 has a new look and aims to make it easier for people to search for languages and provide feedback.
22. CANADA - Diane Roberts is a faithful volunteer that comes into the office once a month to do payroll and pay the bills. Praise God for her willingness to serve in this way. Pray for her health as she has come into the office even when she was not feeling well.
23. UGANDA - Give thanks for Yousif who has been recording in Uganda. Pray too for his wife Vivian as she serves with our team in Kenya.
24. CANADA - The annual business meeting of the mission takes place tomorrow. There corporation members come together to review the past year financial statement and to be updated on the mission activities. Pray for Christina Waters (board chair), as she guides the meeting.
25. TECHNICAL TEAM - There is a group of individuals who are responsible for the many technical aspects of the ministry. They are in need of prayer as they keep the mission advancing in our technical skills and abilities to meet the ever changing needs.
26. SCRIPTS - The content of our recorded messages is vitally important. We need new suitable scripts that can be carefully adapted for different cultural situations. Pray for script-writers who understand the worldviews of the major religions; are sensitive to local cultures and can use their insights to create meaningful scripts.
27. NIGERIA - The team has identified 30 languages that they have targeted to record and distribute during the next 4 years. Pray for God's provision of resources, and for His direction over these plans.
28. INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES - GRN has workers scattered across the globe with each person serving to reach the least reached. Pray for their ongoing personal needs and safety as they sometimes need to travel into remote areas that may not be receptive to the gospel.
29. 5FISH FEEDBACK - Praise the Lord for encouraging feedback we receive about 5fish, like this one: "It's a great app. It gives you a bunch of biblical resources for free in many different languages. Great!" And this one: "How wonderful it is to let everyone enjoy the Bible in their own language.". May the use of 5fish continue to grow.
30. CANADA - Pray for the increase in donations to cover the support needed for Mark Griffin, the GRN Canada director.
31. The commission is clear to the church; we are to go into all the world and preach the Good News of Jesus. Pray that GRN will continue to make progress in getting the gospel in every language. Joy Ridderhof, the founder of GRN had the leading of God which started a great work, which continue on.
