Introduction
Greetings, friends - I’m sure you are interested in short proverbs that give true instructions for living a good life on earth. In the Bible, the book of Proverbs tries to impart wisdom to those who do not have it, especially to young people. Solomon was the king of a united kingdom of God’s people about 2900 years ago, and some said he was the wisest man in the world. He wrote over 3,000 proverbs, but we don’t have all of them. Those who compiled his proverbs also included some later ones composed by others to form the book as we have it.
The book of Proverbs has helped many people down through the years, and its timeless truths still apply to all of us today.
In this program we will read you a number of proverbs. This is not the whole book, but we have a good variety of various types of proverbs. We hope that you will enjoy them as much as others have.
