All year we have been praying and looking for people to translate the 5fish user interface into the major world languages. We set a goal of 40 languages as our target for the end of 2022. It has been exciting to see translators found and the number slowly creep up as the year has progressed.
And then it happened! An email came through saying that we now had translations done in 40 languages! I just counted them and found 42 languages there! Praise God! Testing was already underway for a few other modifications and so the new android version of 5fish was released yesterday with all 42 user interface languages available.
Google very helpfully provided the first pass of translation. We are very thankful to all the volunteers who spent hours correcting Google's work or even throwing it out and starting again from scratch. Our staff who have been working on the 5fish translation project this last year are very excited to see this significant goal realised.
We now need to let the church and missions working in nations speaking these languages know that 5fish is available in their languages. Pray for many people to use 5fish in their evangelism and teaching ministries.
Can you help us? Do you know Christian people who speak the 5fish user interface languages? If so, please contact them and let them know that 5fish (www.5fish.mobi plus google and Apple app stores) is available in their language and provides biblical content in over 6,700 different languages and speech varieties (dialects).
The languages are: Afrikaans, Arabic, Bengali, Burmese, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Javanese, Kannada, Khmer, Korean, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Sinhala, Spanish, Swahili, Tagalog, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese.
