Before Jesus went up to heaven, He told His friends, "Some day I will return to the earth." Jesus does not lie; all His words are true. He will come back again to this world. God teaches us that one day the heavens will open; a trumpet will sound; the angels (chief angel) of God in heaven will shout. After that Jesus will come down from heaven in a big cloud. Every person in the whole world will see Jesus.
Why is Christ (Jesus) coming a second time? He is coming to take His followers with Him to His home above. These are all who believe in Him and repent from their sins and obey and follow Him. (He is the Redeemer and healer for all people. He gave his life to pay the cost of our sin.) He told us that when He comes, He will raise up (to life) all those who are his, from their graves (all those who have died trusting in Jesus). He will give them new bodies. He said in His book that He would come down with a shout from the skies. Those who are dead in Christ (Jesus) will rise first, and those who are still alive will go with them. They will all rise to meet Him together in the sky. (This will all happen in the wink {twinkling} of an eye.) They will then be with Him forever.
What will happen to those people who do not follow Jesus? Jesus is going to punish all the people who have evil in their hearts (who have not followed Him). [1969 Version: Jesus is going to burn up this whole earth; everything will mel in the great heat. All the people who have not followed Jesus will burn in the fire. After that they will go to hell.] They will be sent to hell with Satan and all of his demons. They will not die in the fire; they will live (burn) forever, burning in the hot flames (in this place where the worm doesn't die, and the fire doesn't go out). That is god's punishment to all people who don't believe in Him and follow His words.
When will Jesus come back to earth? Only God knows. He did not tell us when. We only know that He will come back at any time (soon) and that we should be ready for His coming.
Listen friends, do you want to be ready to meet Jesus when He comes? Repent of your sins. Thank Jesus for dying for your sins. Receive Jesus into your heart. After you have received Jesus, you should live to please Him. Tell others about this new life that Jesus gives to those who follow Him. Then you won't be ashamed when Jesus comes. You will meet Him with joy.
